Who is Shaunak?
I am.
And I am the man behind this blog, an Indian settled in Melbourne (Australia), who has always loved planes, trains and road trips! ✈️
I completed my Master's at 24 & started my corporate 9-to-6 job. Only after taking my first international trip to Thailand at 32, I got to know a different country, a different culture, food, among many other things.
This was followed by trips to multiple places in India, Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Australia.
Through this blog, I aim to go digital with all my local, national and international travel experiences. This is my little way of expressing & documenting my stories & travel guides in one place. I love my job (working full-time), and this blog is my "getaway from work" kind of thing. If you find value in this blog, I will be happy for you.
At a personal level, it will be a big deal for me to look back when I get old and say, "Yo Shanukee! Not bad! You did quite a lot !"

Slow paced travel, soaking everything in
Mostly, I prefer taking my own time, traveling slow, not rushing into exploring the place, as I don't believe in just ticking the boxes.
Yes occasionally, I have to be quick and agenda-driven. And I still try to cover as much as I can.
Trying something new, putting myself in unfamiliar space and getting a positive result motivates me and gives me a sense of achievement.
